Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a key role in managing financial processes and ensuring accuracy in accounting operations. If you have a strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

- Oversee accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and payment collection.

- Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

- Handle billing functions and ensure invoices are prepared and delivered correctly.

- Maintain and update accounting systems to ensure compliance with company procedures.

- Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting documentation.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies in financial data.

- Ensure all accounting functions align with regulatory and organizational standards.

- Provide support during audits by organizing and reviewing necessary financial documentation. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Strong knowledge of account reconciliation techniques and best practices.

- Familiarity with billing procedures and related accounting functions.

- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teams and external stakeholders.

- Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
