Job Description

Join Target as a Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant). Starting hourly rate: $19.00 USD per hour.

• Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings, and services

As a Guest Advocate, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will likely include:

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
• Make guests aware of current promos, store activities, and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs
• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time
• Understand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App
• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering
• Attempt every return and follow register prompts
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
• Stock supplies during store open hours
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Work in a safe manner at all times
