We are looking for a Tax Associate to join our team in Huntington Park, CA. The role involves conducting tax interviews via face‑to‑face, video, phone, chat, or email, preparing accurate tax returns, supporting business growth, and providing assistance to clients and coworkers.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and via virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email)
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration
• Grow your tax expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment
• Ability to work a minimum of 25‑35 hours weekly during tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course 1
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
• Comfort using virtual tools (video, phone, chat)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• High school diploma/equivalent or higher (minimum requirement)

$11.00 - $27.00 per hour

Pay range information:
Local minimum wage laws apply. The pay range for this position is listed below. Qualified candidates may participate in incentive compensation or short‑term incentive plans in accordance with the terms of each plan. Successful candidates can enroll themselves and/or eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage and can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan). All benefits apply per company policy and are subject to eligibility requirements.
