Junior Accountant

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to support our accounting team, with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable and the opportunity to grow into additional accounting functions over time. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is detail‑oriented, reliable, and eager to learn how a complex, high‑volume food manufacturing business operates financially.

This is an in‑person role and offers hands‑on exposure to core accounting processes, with room to expand responsibilities as skills develop.

• Own and manage Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, cash application, deductions, and customer follow‑up
• Monitor AR aging, research discrepancies, and work cross‑functionally to resolve issues
• Assist with month‑end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Support Accounts Payable, general ledger, and other accounting functions as needed
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  
  Help improve processes and controls as the business grows
• Serve as backup support for other accounting roles during peak periods or absences

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Comfort working with numbers, spreadsheets, and financial data
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage routine responsibilities without constant oversight
• Willingness to learn new accounting areas beyond AR
• Clear communicator who works well with internal teams and external customers
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with accounting systems

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (AR experience strongly preferred)
• Internship or entry‑level accounting experience welcomed
