General Inspector – Ingleside, TX

Intertek, a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL) and leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is actively seeking a General Inspector to join our Technical Inspection Services team in Ingleside, TX. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Industry Services.

What You’ll Do:

  • Inspection & Auditing:
    Perform routine and project-based inspections for integrity and compliance.
  • Code Compliance:
    Verify work meets industry standards.
  • Reporting:
    Document inspection findings, non-conformities, and progress.
  • Coordination:
    Work with engineers, construction teams, and management to resolve issues.
  • Safety Oversight:
    Ensure adherence to safety protocols (OSHA, company standards).

Physical Requirements:

  • Walk long distances.
  • Climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Stand for extended durations.
  • Reach in all directions.
  • Have good visual acuity regarding color, depth perception, and field vision.
  • Work in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold temperatures.
  • Be alert and able to determine job-related hazards and recognize when hazards change.
  • Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally. Preference for current certification in Swagelok and Parker tubing fitting installation.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in use and calibration of welding inspection tools.
  • Monitor in-process welding applications and verify compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Work and communicate in a team environment.
  • Possess fundamental verbal and writing skills in English.
