Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer to oversee and support multiple Industrial building projects from planning through execution. This role requires a strong understanding of subcontractor management, field operations, and experience with review of contract plans and specifications, project scheduling, cost forecasting, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a few construction projects under their belt performing subcontractor oversight for building projects, proactive in identifying and resolving issues, ensuring compliance at the site, and driving operational excellence with the team.

District Overview

This role will be based at our Kiewit Offshore Services (KOS) yard in Ingleside, TX. Responsibilities
  • Perform Contract Compliance, quality control & Field Oversight of subcontractors on the project
  • Develop a complete understanding of contract plans and specifications.
  • Inspect field conditions to identify problems, inaccuracies, and potential cost‑saving measures.
  • Take corrective actions as needed to resolve field issues.
  • Review subordinates’ work for compliance with contract documents; address deficiencies and implement corrective measures.
  • Project Scheduling & Coordination
  • Develop and maintain the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and scheduling software.
  • Collaborate with project management personnel to gather input and ensure schedule accuracy.
