To oversee and optimize the production planning and inventory control processes for pharmaceutical products. This role ensures that production schedules align with demand forecasts and inventory levels are maintained to meet customer needs while minimizing costs. The Executive will work closely with cross-functional teams such as production, procurement, quality control, and distribution to ensure efficient and timely product availability.

Job Responsibilities /Deliverables
Production Planning:
Develop, implement, and monitor production plans (manually or through software) based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.
Collaborate with production teams to adjust plans based on current production status, raw material availability, and capacity constraints.
Ensure the timely execution of production schedules to meet delivery requirements.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
Ensure that optimal inventory levels are maintained, balancing customer demand and minimizing holding costs.
Implement and track inventory control procedures to reduce stock-outs, excess inventory, and waste.
Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
Work with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
Coordinate with QC/QA for release of material as per production priority.
Coordinate with the quality control and regulatory teams to ensure that production plans comply with quality and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with the distribution team to ensure that finished products are available for shipping on time.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, inventory turnover, and cost savings.
Prepare and present regular reports to management on production and inventory status, highlighting any risks or issues.
Process Improvement:
Identify and recommend improvements in planning and inventory control processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Assist in the implementation of best practices, new technologies, and software solutions to optimize PPIC functions.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure that all PPIC activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), pharmaceutical regulations, and company policies.
Maintain accurate documentation of production plans, inventory levels, and related activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production planning, inventory control, or supply chain management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and inventory management.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Additional Notes
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with strict compliance requirements.
Detail-oriented and proactive in addressing issues before they escalate.
