Job Description
The Stainless Steel Bright Bar Production Head will be responsible for end-to-end production management of stainless steel bright bars, ensuring quality, productivity, cost control, and safety compliance. The role demands deep technical expertise in stainless steel metallurgy and bright bar processes, with proven leadership experience in large-scale manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
Lead complete bright bar manufacturing operations, including peeling, drawing, grinding, straightening, heat treatment, and finishing
Ensure achievement of daily, monthly, and annual production targets with optimal resource utilization
Drive yield improvement, cycle time reduction, and cost optimization
Quality & Process Control
Ensure compliance with ASTM, EN, DIN, JIS, and customer-specific standards
Oversee surface finish, dimensional accuracy, straightness, and mechanical properties
Handle internal and external audits, customer inspections, and quality approvals
Maintenance & Equipment Management
Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance of peeling lines, draw benches, grinders, straighteners, furnaces, and finishing equipment
Improve machine availability, OEE, and uptime
People Management & Safety
Lead and develop production, shift, and supervisory teams
Ensure strict adherence to safety norms, SOPs, and statutory compliance
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with melting, rolling, QA, maintenance, commercial, and dispatch teams
Support new product development, grade expansion, and customer trials
Reporting & MIS
Prepare and present production MIS, cost analysis, yield reports, and improvement plans to senior management

Key Skills & Competencies
Strong expertise in Stainless Steel Bright Bar production processes
In-depth understanding of SS grades (Austenitic, Ferritic, Martensitic, Duplex)
Knowledge of defect analysis, metallurgical troubleshooting, and process optimization
Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills

Special Requirement
Candidates must have experience only from Stainless Steel Bright Bar / Long Products background
Experience in integrated stainless steel plants will be an added advantage
