Responsibilities:

Strategic Automation Leadership:
Define, implement, and champion the overall test automation strategy and roadmap across multiple projects and teams.
Evaluate and recommend new automation tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline, promoting a shift-left testing approach.

Technical Design & Development:
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks (e.g., UI, API, database, performance) and strategies for telecom products.
Write, execute, and debug complex automated test scripts using [Java/Python, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, JMeter etc.].
Implement advanced automation patterns and practices to improve test coverage, reliability, and execution speed.
Conduct thorough code reviews for automation scripts to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.

Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Act as a technical mentor and coach for junior and mid-level QA engineers, guiding them in automation principles, tool usage, and script development.
Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and documentation to upskill the team in test automation techniques and best practices.
Foster a collaborative environment where team members are empowered to learn, contribute, and grow their automation skills.
Provide constructive feedback and support to help team members overcome technical challenges in automation.

Quality Assurance & Reporting:
Analise test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for timely resolution.
Generate comprehensive automation test reports and metrics to communicate quality status and progress to stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement in test processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required

Skills & Experience:

8-10 years of progressive experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on Test Automation.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing end-to-end test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and/or API applications.
Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Extensive hands-on experience with industry-standard automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium Web Driver, Playwright, Appium, Rest Assured, Postman, JMeter).
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops).
