Assistant Purchasing Manager - F&B

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Assistant Purchasing Manager to support the Procurement Manager in managing F&B operations in Jakarta Airport. The ideal candidate will help structure purchasing, enforce procurement policies, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain inventory levels, ensuring quality and profitability. This role involves handling, sourcing, and purchasing food, beverages, equipment, and supplies.

• Supplier Management:
  Research, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices, terms, and quality.
• Purchasing Operations:
  Prepare, verify, and process purchase orders and invoices to ensure accurate, timely delivery of goods.
• Inventory & Cost Control:
  Monitor inventory levels, enforce FIFO inventory rotation, and assist in maintaining budget controls for food and beverage costs.
• Reporting & Analysis:
  Review and analyze market trends, purchasing data, and supplier performance to provide reports and cost‑saving proposals.
• Compliance:
  Ensure all purchases meet food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FSSC) and internal company policies.
• Support:
  Assist the Executive Chef and Procurement Manager in all purchasing aspects and operational needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in food technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

• 3-5+ years of proven work experience in Procurement, preferably in the Food & Beverage or Hospitality industry.

• Strong negotiation skills and understanding of supply chain operations.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting datasets and market trends.

• Knowledge of food ingredients, packaging materials, and vendor management.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
