Purchasing Supervisor; Mandarin & English Speaker

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join PT. Origa Mulia FRP as a Purchasing Supervisor. Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the purchasing and procurement functions for this leading manufacturing company based in Tangerang, Banten. This full‑time position requires strong Mandarin and English language skills.

• Manage and oversee the end‑to‑end purchasing process, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, order placement, and delivery monitoring.
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, and other supplies to support production and operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential suppliers to expand the company's vendor network.
• Analyse purchase data and provide recommendations to improve procurement efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with other departments such as production, logistics, and finance to align purchasing activities with business needs.
• Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance the overall procurement function.
• Supervise and mentor a team of purchasing officers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

• Bachelor’s degree in any major (preferred fields: Supply Chain Management, Logistics).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in manufacturing.
• Excellent command of Mandarin and English, written and spoken.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with the ability to build and maintain productive supplier relationships.
• Proficient in analyzing purchase data, identifying cost‑saving opportunities, and implementing process improvements.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a team and providing effective leadership and mentorship.
• Familiarity with purchasing software and ERP systems.
