Operational Manager

Founded in 2016, Terra Drone is a leading drone and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) technology company with a mission of “Unlock the sky.” Terra Drone is the first Asian startup to raise funding from Wa’ed Ventures, the venture capital arm of Aramco, the oil and gas giant and the 2nd biggest company in the world by market cap.

Headquartered in Japan, we are a global startup preparing for IPO with a total of 5 overseas subsidiaries, most acquired through mergers. Terra Drone Agri was acquired and rebranded by Terra Drone Japan this year, and we are looking for an experienced Operational Manager. This position will work closely with the board of management from Japan, Indonesia, and Malaysia. We expect this position to manage operational fields and manpower smoothly and organized.

• Oversee and run drone operations with high efficiency.
• Optimize and monitor team operations for optimal results.
• Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.
• Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.
• Assist HR with recruiting when necessary.
• Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
• Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
• Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
• Build alliances and partnerships with other suppliers and partners.
• Support worker communication with management.

• Bachelor’s degree in management or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in management, operations, and leadership (experience in the Agriculture and Technology sectors will be an added advantage).
• Passionate about technology, especially in the drone industry.
• Strong initiative, strategic thinking, and knowledge in project management.
• Ability to build consensus and relationships among management, clients, and employees.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Willingness to be placed at all bases around Indonesia.
