Multi Bintang Indonesia is hiring a Tax Operation Lead based in Tangerang. You’ll be responsible for managing and ensuring full compliance of our indirect tax operations, including VAT, WHT, and Excise across all entities. This role reports to our Tax Manager and is perfect for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

As a Tax Operation Lead
, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all indirect tax-related operations, ranging from VAT & WHT calculation, reconciliation, and reporting, to excise reconciliation, documentation, and tax audits. You’ll help us stay compliant, accurate, and efficient, and champion automation and continuous improvement to strengthen our tax operations and reporting process. #Do Something That Matters

• Oversee monthly VAT, WHT compliance, and excise compliance across all entities.
• Ensure timely, accurate tax payments and returns.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and adjustments of tax accounts.
• Maintain updated SOPs and system setups in SAP to reflect latest tax regulations.
• Manage WHT documentation and vendor slip distribution.
• Monitor regulation changes and proactively inform internal stakeholders.
• Support audits, disputes, and group reporting as needed.
• Identify and lead process automation and continuous improvements.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Business-related field.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in tax (consulting firm + in-house/industry preferred). Proven experience in tax laws and regulations, tax accounting, and fiscal administration.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
  • Able to work as a single contributor with minimum supervision.
  • Proficient in Excel and automation tools like Power BI.
  • Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Highly trustworthy, proactive, and agile in a fast-paced environment.
