ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview
The / Loss Prevention Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations across all festival bars, beverage points, and controlled access areas. This position oversees a team of and Loss Prevention staff, ensuring all alcohol service regulations, security procedures, and Levy/Client guidelines are followed. This role requires strong leadership, excellent judgment, and the ability to work in fast-moving environments with large crowds and high-pressure moments.
The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining compliance, reducing risk, supporting guest safety, and protecting Levy assets while creating a positive festival experience.
- Alcohol Compliance &
- Supervise across assigned festival zones.
- Ensure all team members correctly verify age using accepted forms of identification.
- Enforce 21+ wristband policies and prevent underage access to alcohol.
- Support staff with difficult or escalated .
- Conduct ongoing compliance checks and spot audits throughout the event.
- Loss Prevention & Risk Reduction
- Monitor festival operations for potential theft, fraud, or policy violations.
- Support bar teams, vendor partners, and supervisors with loss prevention procedures.
- Identify suspicious behavior and take appropriate action aligned with Levy and client policies.
- Oversee cash handling guidelines and ensure proper POS procedures are followed.
- Communicate any irregularities or concerns to management immediately.
- Team Leadership & Training
- Lead, train, and coach a team of and Loss Prevention staff.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings outlining expectations, policies, and safety reminders.
- Assign team positions, rotations, and break schedules.
- Ensure staff understand escalation paths and customer service expectations.
- Guest Experience & Safety
- Maintain a positive, friendly, professional presence with guests and vendors.
- Balance safety, compliance, and guest service with calm, confident decision-making.
- De-escalate tense situations proactively and respectfully.
- Coordinate with Security, Medical, and Festival Ops for crowd control or safety issues.
- Operational Execution
- Support accurate wristband application, tracking, and quality checks.
- Ensure equipment (, lights, wristband tools, radios) is working and properly distributed.
- Document incidents, refusals, and disruptions using established reporting procedures.
- Assist with end-of-day breakdown and inventory of equipment.
- Experience in loss prevention, event security, , law enforcement, or festival operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of alcohol compliance laws and responsible service practices.
- Excellent communication, situational awareness, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate staff in a high-volume festival environment.
- Calm under pressure and capable of managing difficult guest interactions professionally.
- Comfortable working long hours, outdoors, in large crowds, and in variable weather.
- Ability to travel and work nights, weekends, and extended schedules during festival seasons.
