Starting Rate $16.90 per hour

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds, often up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra awesome).
• Retail Management Certificate (extra awesome).

Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, performing cash register operations, and safeguarding company assets. Must bend, stand, and stoop for prolonged periods.

Typical fast-paced grocery store environment: lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, visual and auditory requirements. Reasonable accommodations may be available.
