Food Runner – Coral Tree Hospitality (Miramonte Resort & Spa)
OverviewTommy Bahama Miramonte is an oasis where guests escape daily demands and immerse in simple pleasures. It blends desert luxury with island state of mind, offering unique experiences that celebrate life’s greatest moments.
The Food Runner is a key member of the culinary team, responsible for ensuring prompt delivery of hot and cold dishes, supporting the Expo, and maintaining a clean, efficient service flow.
Responsibilities- A warm personality, attentive, and presentable.
- Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
- Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests and staff.
- Supports the restaurant team by keeping the expo area stocked and clean.
- Ensures expo cleanliness by wiping down counters, refrigerators, and other surfaces; sweeps and mops.
- Pre-busses guest tables after a plate is finished.
- Delivers food orders to restaurant tables and guest rooms in a timely manner.
- Communicates with staff and management before leaving a job post.
- Maintains a trash‑free expo area.
- Assists servers in polishing and rolling silverware.
- Prepares tables for large parties.
- Runs food to pool deck and delivers to chairs based on floor plan.
- Monitors the expo line activity and proactively supports the team.
- Restocks the expo fridge with necessary items.
- Communicates special needs or guest requests to team members.
- Takes initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty.
- Ensures all food items are properly garnished before delivery.
- Communicates with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Flexibility with work days and hours, previous service experience, excellent communication skills, and a personality that thrives on creating memorable guest experiences.
Prerequisites- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
- Professional, courteous, cooperative, enthusiastic team player.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Proficient reading, writing, speaking in English.
- Valid Food Handler’s card.
- Accurate following of instructions, both verbal and written.
- Highly detail‑oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Upbeat, welcoming personality.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Teamwork orientation.
- Effective guest interaction skills.

- High school diploma.
- Work indoors or outdoors.
- Remain on feet majority of day.
- Climb stairs and walk uneven surfaces occasionally.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 60 lbs. at shoulder height.
- Frequently bend, squat, push, pull.
- Perform repetitive hand & arm movements (grasping, fine manipulation, squeezing, overhead reaching occasionally).
- Hourly Rate: $16.90/hr
