We started out as a small operation in California. In May 1969, we acquired four hospitals, some additional care facilities and real estate for future development of hospitals. Over the years, we've grown tremendously in size, scope and capability, building a home in new markets over time, and curating those homes to provide a compassionate environment for those entrusting us with their care.

Today, we are a leading health system and services platform that continues to evolve in lockstep with community need. Tenet's operations include three businesses – our hospitals and physicians, USPI and Conifer Health Solutions.

Our impact spreads far and deep with 65 hospitals and approximately 510 outpatient centers and additional sites of care. We are differentiated by our top‑notch medical specialists and service lines that are tailored within each community we serve. The work Conifer is doing will help provide the foundation for better health for clients across the country, through the delivery of healthcare‑focused revenue cycle management and value‑based care solutions.

JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFK’s cross streets is named in his honor.

Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145‑bed Acute‑care Hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare California.

It offers a variety of services, including:

• Emergency care 24/7
• Orthopedic and joint replacement services using emerging technology
• Cardiovascular services
• Maternity care and pediatric services
• Ambulatory surgery center
• Imaging services
• Outpatient Rehabilitation Center

The Admitting Representative greets patients and visitors in person or on the telephone; obtains demographic, financial and medical information for registration and identification, coordinates and assists in the completion of all activities relating to patient finances, facilitates the collection and distribution of information and expedites a smooth and timely billing and collection process while adhering to department policies and procedures.

Requests and collects any patient liabilities due such as co‑payment, deductibles, co‑insurance and compact rates and follows the department scripting for assigned area.

Monitors and expedites the necessary authorizations and approvals for hospital emergency room, outpatient service, or elective surgeries per the designated insurance carriers.

Acts as a resource and liaison for employees within the department, as well as other inter‑related hospital staff and all "guests" that need assistance or information.

Hours: Thurs – Sat 7p-7:30a

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3–5 years recent experience in acute care hospital registration or business office environment
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medi‑Cal and third‑party billing and collection procedures
• Experience or knowledge in admissions, registrations and insurance verification is essential
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to speak Spanish / Bilingual preferred
• Medical Terminology preferred
