Esthetician; On-Call

Overview

The Esthetician is responsible for providing expert skin care treatments, and skin care knowledge appropriate for each guest. Performs facials, hand treatments, and depilatory waxing while providing personalized skin care products.

Salary: $16.90/hr.

• Review guest medical history and injuries to provide the best care.
• Become familiar with the spa treatment menu to guide guests and suggest add-ons.
• Review treatment protocols to ensure consistency and improve guest experience.
• Engage with guests to understand wellness goals, recommend tailored services and enhancements, and suggest home-care products or techniques.
• Complete daily checklist and maintain room cleanliness, with high sanitation standards for equipment and tools.
• Keep Spa leadership informed about items that need to be re-ordered or repaired.
• Work with team members to provide the best service and a positive working environment.
• Knowledge of spa equipment and ability to handle emergencies.
• Focus on guest delight and resolve concerns/complaints to the best of your ability.
• Teach and model guest service, technical, procedural skills, and safety guidelines.
• Perform other tasks as necessary to achieve service, financial, and spa goals.

In addition to essential functions, this position may perform a combination of the following supportive functions as determined by the supervisor.

• Attend all mandatory meetings.
• Report suspicious persons or activities and hazardous conditions.
• Provide general public assistance and safety guidance for guests and employees in emergencies.
• Utilize products efficiently, maintain inventory and room cleanliness. Complete commission reports accurately and timely.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor, including cross-training.
• Keep work area neat and organized.
• Report equipment and supply needs to supervisors immediately.
• Perform expert skin care treatments and aromatherapy according to guidelines for stress relief, relaxation, and cleansing.
• Provide knowledge to guests for continued skin care utilizing spa products.

• Excellent communication and listening skills.

• Mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Knowledge of cosmetics and aromatherapy.
• Proficient in performing skin care treatments for hands, feet, neck, shoulders and décolleté.
• Proficient in advising clients on personal skin care.

Essential:

• High School graduate.
• Valid CA cosmetology license and clinical training hours completed.
• Ability to communicate well with guests and staff.
• Previous experience.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a resort setting.
• Previous experience in guest service.
