Qualifications

  • Own and project a positive attitude toward customers and coworkers!
  • Previous Service Advisor experience is required
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Team player focused on providing exemplary customer service
  • Basic mechanical understanding of automobiles
  • Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in your state
  • Dedicated to working in a performance-based, commission environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Service Manager and initiate automotive services and repairs by diagnosing vehicle performance issues and service requests; verify warranty and service contract coverage; develop estimates; write repair orders; maintain customer records.
  • Act as a liaison by representing the center to service clients and the client's interests to the Service Center.
  • Coordinate between the Service Manager, Shop Supervisor, Parts personnel, Technicians, and Warranty Administration.
  • Maintain a friendly demeanor — SMILE!
  • Communicate effectively via phone, email, or text to keep customers informed; we provide a robust communication suite to support you.
  • Serve as the communicator between the customer and technician, ensuring mutual understanding of service needs and repairs.
  • Develop customer payment estimates, including costs for materials, supplies, labor, and deductibles.
  • Prepare and verify repair orders, obtain signatures, and enter data into the service database system.
  • Inform customers about additional service needs based on vehicle inspections.
  • Keep customers updated on service specials, completion times, and expenses.
  • Help vehicle owners care for and maintain their vehicles responsibly.
  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with customers.
  • Inspect vehicles and use resources like vehicle history and key readers to accurately identify service needs.
  • Contribute to repeat vehicle sales by providing excellent after-sales experiences.
  • Review service history, inspect vehicles, and recommend necessary services.
  • Promote sales of appropriate services, parts, and accessories responsibly.
  • Write and verify accurate repair orders with supporting documentation.
  • Manage warranty repairs following warranty guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws regarding automobile repair and consumer protection.
  • Participate in rotating weekend shifts.
