We are more than just a Parts Store, and we are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales, you will be the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers seeking automotive parts and services. While you don’t need to be able to tear down engines (but if you can, that’s a plus), a background in automotive parts is preferred.
This role offers a great opportunity whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or explore other career options within our company.
- Providing auto parts answers and solutions to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
- Assisting team members with customer questions using your parts knowledge
- Delivering outstanding customer care and interactions
- Bringing energy and customer focus to our fast-paced stores
- Welcoming customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Using technology such as computers, cash registers, and catalogs
- Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and service questions
- Have experience in the automotive industry or enjoy tinkering with cars and trucks
- Are willing to learn about automotive parts if you don’t already know
- Seek a place to learn and grow your career
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn
- High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses are a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
- Good listening skills and empathy for customers
- Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
- Experience in cataloging and inventory management systems
- Customer-centric attitude
