A Typical Day for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with The Village:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) for overall nursing leadership within our 54-bed Health Center.
  • Evaluate the quality of resident care, monitor compliance with current laws, process improvements and assist in implementing best practices.
  • Orienting, training and supervision of team members.
  • Assist in resident evaluations, and serve as a liaison for team member shift transitions.
  • Participate in surveys and inspections by various government agencies and more!

Current Opening:

Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm with flexible hours, rotating on-call schedule throughout the month

Qualifications Education
Preferred

Bachelors or better in Nursing.

Experience
Required

Active RN license in the state of Iowa is preferred but an LPN license is required

5 years of Experience
  • 5+ years of nursing experience within a long-term care setting
Preferred

Previous nursing leadership experience in a long-term care setting is highly preferred

Licenses & Certifications
Required

Registered Nurse
