** iu health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour must be flexible with weekend requirements, weekend requirement will be based on unit needs. Travelers must be able to work 50% of the weekends in their contract. Iu health university and methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment.

Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements. Traveler must have in/compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license to apply for this position. Locals: not accepted
*** call-ins: if a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to
1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 fte. Or
2) if a 0.9 fte and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract
3) if a 1.2 fte, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
*** charge coverage: pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources. Certification requirements: acls, bcls, and nihss skillset requirements: minimum 3 year experience, neuro intensive care unit, level 1 trauma experience, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, icp, and iv starts floating requirements: unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (med-surg, pcu, icu) with resources provided if needed at both university and methodist hospitals staffing ratios: 1:2-3 unit information: ncc is a neuro critical care unit, will also care for medical, surgical and trauma icu patients.

Effective 11/30/24, iu health will not allow in rn's to work at their facilities (see exceptions below).
** periop/or rn's, allied and ambulatory rn travelers are exempt from this rule. These in travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes endo, ir rn, pacu, cath lab rn, sds**
