Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiac ICU position requiring BLS, PALS, and CVICU experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a specialized 8-bed pediatric CVICU connected to a 14-bed PICU
- Care for pediatric cardiac patients both pre- and post-operatively
- Shifts are 7:00 PM to 7:15 AM with 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and holiday shifts required
- On-call responsibilities are expected
- Floating required to PICU, pediatric, and NICU units
- Collaborate closely with surgical and intensivist teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate surgical case load is required
- Team-oriented environment with support from experienced pediatric critical care staff
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- COVID vaccination is no longer a requirement for this assignment
- Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate based on facility radius rules
- Candidates should only apply to one position within the health system at a time
- Active RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU nursing experience
- BLS and PALS certifications from AHA required
- NRP certification (AHA/AAP) required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- License and Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- Must provide US Social Security Number and US home address
