Previous charge experience is required.

Description:

We are looking for a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit.
Candidates must be flexible with weekend requirements, as weekend shifts will be based on unit needs.
Travelers are expected to work 50% of the weekends during their contract.
Refusal to float to different levels of care may result in termination of the contract.
Travel nurses should be open to precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them during their assignment.
The patient-to-nurse ratio varies and will rarely see 5 during emergencies.
This unit handles a variety of conditions including CVAs, hydrocephalus, brain tumors, seizures, and traumatic brain injuries.
Candidates should possess experience with telemetry and management of drips.
Floating to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) may be required, with resources provided if necessary.
Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned depending on operational needs, with training provided.
It is essential that candidates are comfortable with training for charge nurse duties.
All travelers must work two out of three major holidays.
Candidates will be expected to manage various nursing skills including arterial line management, central line care, and care of ventilated patients.
The unit features 24 beds and supports adult and geriatric patient age groups.
A strong background in neuro nursing will be advantageous for this role.
