The Operations Planning Lead is responsible for developing a production plan with consideration of equipment, organizational or business process constraints. Expected to seek out and recommend process improvements, assist in developing team members skill sets in the planning, take on leadership responsibilities for strategic planning activities that enable the department capabilities to scale aligning with business needs.
Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams:
Manufacturing, Supply chain, Finance, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to achieve both tactical and strategic goals assigned. Will work to fully understanding production demand and supply needs, balancing manufacturing goals while incorporating Lean Manufacturing principals, and identify and coordinate issue resolution and continuous improvement opportunities with other departments.
This role will not have direct reports but will require the ability to influence and serve as a coach and mentor for others in the organization.
Travel could be up to 25%,

What you will be doing
With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
* Own the 6-month production schedule and lead the cross-functional teams required to develop recovery plans and / or to revise the schedule. Effectively communicate changes in schedule to senior leaders and stakeholders in a timely manner.
* Own scheduling tools used to run and model recovery plans. Ensure they are robust, fit for purpose, effective. Working with SAP to pull appropriate data.
* Support strategic planning activities by generating credible production scenarios and evaluate the impact on product supply.
* Provide mentorship through tactical training to team members to improve their skill sets in SAP/ Sustaining planning
* Identify potential supply risks and inventory exposures by aligning supply chain processes with production plan milestones/targets
* Work closely with production teams to ensure that production schedules are met and that quality standards are maintained
* Act as SAP Key user for the Turbines planning team
* Responsible for the following business processes:
Shop Floor Control and report key SAP metrics, such as 'PO Start adherence, 'Production Orders Past Due', overall SMWIP/Inventory target tracking
* Will support both Single Crystal Castings (SCO) & Turbines Machining Facilities
Who we're looking for:

Basic Requirements:
* Associates degree in Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain or Operations with 4+ years experience in a supply chain or operations environment OR;
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain or Operations with 2+ years experience in a supply chain or operations environment OR;
* Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain or Operations OR;
* In lieu of a degree, 6+ years experience in a supply chain or operations environment
* In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Requirements:
* Attention to detail, demonstrated aptitude for the analysis of data
