Terminal Operator

We are seeking a qualified candidate with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to do what it takes to succeed, for our Terminal Operator opening at our Indianapolis Terminal.

Summary

We are seeking a qualified candidate with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to do what it takes to succeed, for our Terminal Operator opening at our Indianapolis Terminal.

Responsibilities:

* Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, skid steers,

* Loading and unloading of inbound and outbound trucks and rail cars

* Perform routine equipment checks and report any mechanical or safety concerns promptly

* Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and operational guidelines to maintain a safe work area

* Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free terminal environment

* Maintaining and operating facilities and equipment; general maintenance

* Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives

* Must be able to work up to 12 hours days (Monday-Friday; alternating Saturdays)

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

* Previous equipment operating experience (e.g., loader, backhoe, skid steer, etc.) is preferred

* Working knowledge of material handling systems, including pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components; a plus

* Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with the Terminal Manager and effectively collaborate with the team

* Demonstrated commitment to safety, including following established procedures, promoting safe work practices, and actively helping maintain a safe working environment
