POSITION PURPOSE

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within a warehouse, manufacturing facility, including tasks like loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and ensuring materials are delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner, often using machinery like forklifts and pallet jacks while maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety guidelines.

Starting $17.50 per hour with potential for growth based on experience.

Attendance incentives are available up to $160 per two-week period.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Receive and inspect incoming shipments of materials, ensuring the accuracy of quantities of goods

* Label and stock materials on shelves, racks, or bins in accordance with established inventory control procedures

* Prepare materials for shipment by stacking and wrapping finished goods

* Pick and pack materials for production orders, ensuring the accuracy of quantities and tracking information

* Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines

* Maintain accurate inventory records utilizing SAP Software and participate in cycle count activities, as required

* Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines

* Operate material handling equipment, including forklift and pallet jacks, in a safety and efficient manner

* Maintain stock levels in breakrooms, cabinets and other designated areas

* Maintain waste receptacles inside/outside of the building complying with all environmental and regulatory requirements

* Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

* High school diploma or GED/High School equivalency

* Experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environment preferred

* Certification of forklift operation preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

* Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

* Ability to work within a team setting and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

* Basic math competency

* Entry-Level computer skills including data entry and navigating various inventory software

* Ability to use Microsoft Office outlook and excel

* Attention to detail

* Ability to manage time efficiently, organize and prioritize tasks

* Ability to operate a fork-lift and/or Powered Industrial Vehicles
