Desktop Service Technician

This Desktop Service Technician Position Features:

Location:

Onsite - Indianapolis, IN

• Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | 40 hours per week

• 3-Month Contract with Possibility of Extension

• Pay to $$27.62/hr

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage internal ticketing systems to resolve desktop and end-user support requests in a timely manner.

• Perform PC builds, imaging, deployments, and hardware configurations.

• Complete IMAC activities (Installs, Moves, Adds, Changes) to support business needs.

• Provide technical support for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and enterprise applications.

• Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and standard business software.

• Assist with Active Directory tasks including password resets, user account provisioning, and access management.

• Support mobile device management (MDM) platforms and assist with device setup and configuration.

• Ensure all tickets are resolved in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Support conference room technology, AV equipment, and peripheral device setup.

• Document troubleshooting steps and maintain accurate records within the ITSM system.

• Assist with desktop-related projects under supervision.

• Follow IT security standards and operational procedures.

• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, equipment relocation, and cable management as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.

• 2+ years of experience in desktop support, help desk, or IT support roles.

• Experience supporting Windows-based desktop environments.

• Experience working with ticketing systems (Service Now or similar ITSM tools).

• Basic understanding of IT security principles and ITIL/ITSM processes.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work fully onsite Monday-Friday.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar technical certifications.

• ITIL Foundation certification.

• Experience with Apple/macOS environments.

• Experience with Mobile Device Management platforms (Jamf, Mobile Iron, Intune, or similar).

• Experience with imaging tools such as SCCM or MDT.

• Experience supporting enterprise or multi-site environments.
