A Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a champion for the Damar brand while being responsible for sourcing and recruitment of positions across all programs within our organization.

The primary location for this role is on our main campus, located on the SW side of Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire hiring process from sourcing to offer acceptance, including creating and managing job postings, opening requisitions in the ATS, sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, conducting in-person applicant interviews, scheduling interviews for hiring managers, providing candidate summaries, and extending offers of employment.
  • Proactively identify talent using multiple techniques, including job boards, Boolean keyword searches, college/university partnerships, internal ATS, social media, networking, employee referrals, career fairs, and other resources.
  • Consult and partner with hiring managers to understand business needs, develop position‑specific sourcing and recruitment plans, and identify viable candidate pools.
  • Provide timely communications and feedback to hiring managers and candidates.
  • Maintain accurate information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) throughout the recruitment workflow, responding to candidate inquiries, and completing all required requisition fields for reporting.
  • Serve as a backup for onboarding activities, including pre‑employment background checks and agency‑specific verifications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of professional sourcing and recruitment experience (preferred).
  • Experience working with HRIS and ATS systems, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Physical ability to work in an office setting, including standing or sitting for prolonged periods, occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting light to moderate weight (up to 35 lbs), operating office equipment, traveling, and verbal communication.
  • Vision: able to see normally with or without correction.
  • Hearing: able to hear normally with or without correction.
