Firefly Children & Family Alliance
is currently seeking a
Therapist
to join our
Survivor Services
team. This role provides therapeutic interventions and support to individuals who have experienced domestic violence and/or sexual assault.

The position serves grant-based clients only, with no DCS ordered clients or monthly DCS reports required. Scheduling offers flexibility with a combination of in-person (office and/or community based) and virtual appointments. Some evening hours are expected. Responsibilities

Therapy (70%)

  • Provide counseling support to a caseload of individuals, families, and groups working to achieve treatment goals related to healing from trauma or processing emotions.
  • Guide clients through clear, beneficial counseling methods to accomplish client-set goals.
  • Maintain the therapeutic standards outlined by professional degrees and licenses.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with clients, communicating clearly and directly that is rooted in respect and compassion.
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to determine the client's level of need and best therapeutic intervention.

Therapy Support (30%)

  • Complete documentation of all client contacts.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings when appropriate.
  • Participate in outreach events to promote Survivor Services programming.
  • Participate in Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Awareness events.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Knowledge of and skills in working with survivors of abuse, family dynamics and basic counseling methods.
  • Current associate license working towards a clinical license of LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCAC.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization & time management skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have valid driver's license with no more than 6 points and a valid insurance.
