Laboratory Analyst; Chemistry

EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry) in Indianapolis, IN
. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.

• Preparation and analysis of environmental chemistry samples
• Wet chemistry analysis including but not limited to testing for alkalinity, pH, oxygen, ammonia, oil and grease, solids, and turbidity
• Laboratory work environment requires care when handling acids, solvents, and other reagents
• Generate analytical reports and enter data into the LIMS system
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed
• Perform quality control practices per company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual
• Administrative duties including sample login and data entry, scanning and emailing reports and answering phones
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science is required
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Commercial or academic laboratory experience
• Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self‑motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
• Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi‑task and prioritize with minimal assistance

Position is full time, Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Indianapolis, IN are encouraged to apply.
