Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a contract position offering the opportunity to contribute your expertise in managing financial processes and ensuring the accuracy of accounts receivable functions. The ideal candidate will excel at maintaining compliance and strengthening internal controls while supporting operational and financial goals.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and issue invoices for internal and external customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Reconcile intercompany accounts and manage receivable/payable balances effectively.

- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

- Perform month-end close tasks, including reconciling general ledger accounts.

- Track and oversee capital expenditures, depreciation schedules, and fixed asset disposals.

- Ensure adherence to accounting policies and industry standards.

- Collaborate with operational teams to incorporate financial insights into business strategies.

- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy.

- Support process improvements and standardization efforts across departments.

- Participate in additional projects and tasks as assigned. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.

- At least three years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions.

- Familiarity with Power BI is a plus.

- Strong skills in accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.

- Experience in cash applications and billing functions.

- Knowledge of commercial collections and cash activity management.

- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
