Fully on site Indianapolis, IN
Salary: $90,000-$100,000/year
A growing organization that provides financial and operational support to multi-location businesses is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting operational finance initiatives, and helping drive data-backed insights that support cost management and business performance.
The ideal Senior Accountant thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with high-volume financial data across multiple business units. This Senior Accountant will partner with finance leadership and operational teams to ensure financial accuracy, improve reporting processes, and support strategic financial decisions.
This Senior Accountant will be responsible for key accounting functions including general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end close. The Senior Accountant will also analyze financial performance trends and help identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency. A successful Senior Accountant will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger activity and support the month-end and year-end close process
- Prepare account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Analyze financial data across multiple business segments and identify key trends
- Assist with financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting initiatives
- Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Partner with operations and leadership to improve reporting accuracy and workflow efficiency
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- CPA or CPA track preferred
