Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in financial processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, and fixed assets management. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the company's financial success while developing your expertise in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.

- Prepare and post journal entries to support financial operations.

- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

- Oversee bank reconciliations and identify variances for resolution.

- Monitor and manage fixed assets, including tracking and reporting depreciation.

- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related reports.

- Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and workflows.

- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.

- Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and create reports. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

- Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

- Strong skills in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

- Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and depreciation tracking.

- Advanced Excel capabilities, including formulas and data analysis.

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
