Position: Senior Systems Engineer (PSI)
V2X is seeking Senior Systems Engineers to join our Engineering team in Indianapolis to support development, integration, and lifecycle management of advanced systems across various platforms, with strong emphasis on technical expertise, DoD project support, and collaboration within cross-functional teams. Job Description and Responsibilities

A Senior Systems Engineer in Indianapolis typically supports engineering teams by managing program development from concept through verification and validation.

Key responsibilities include:

* Developing and integrating hardware and software systems on air, sea, or ground platforms.

* Leading requirements development, system design reviews, and test plan creation.

* Performing system integration, test execution, and troubleshooting complex systems.

* Creating trade studies and technical analyses to guide design decisions.

* Providing technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

* Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders across engineering, management, and customer organizations.

* Occasionally traveling to client sites for installations or troubleshooting.

Required

Skills and Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.

* 5+ years of experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering.

* Strong understanding of the System Engineering Lifecycle and related processes.

* Experience with hardware/software integration, test procedure development, and system verification.

* Proven leadership abilities and strong communication skills.

* U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.

Desired Skills

* Knowledge and practical experience in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting

* Experience and/or knowledge of Agile techniques (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, SAFe, etc.)

* Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.

* Background working with DoD customers (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps).

* Supplier management and subsystem/component oversight experience.
