The Daniel J. Job DescriptionThe Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor position in Computer Engineering specializing in Artificial Intelligence Systems. This position is part of a broader expansion in AI engineering in the college.
The position is defined with broad scope that includes research related to developing, securing, or using AI chips and workloads, from edge devices to data centers. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, GPUs, FPGAs, custom accelerators, protecting model IP, hardware‑enforced safeguards against misuse or adversarial inputs, trusted execution, securing supply chains for AI, robustness and explainability, safe and equitable human‑in‑the‑loop decision systems, and other advanced hardware and software topics in computer engineering.
