Electrical Testing Engineer - Indianapolis
High Voltage Maintenance Corp. (HVM), a rapidly growing third‑party, NETA accredited electrical testing company, is seeking Field Technicians to support our service offerings.
Job DescriptionWe provide highly competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and a comprehensive incentive program for employees who are NETA certified. Our organization is a military and veteran focused leader in electrical testing, project services, commissioning, and engineering services. You will work on low and medium voltage switch gear testing (up to 15 kV), testing of circuit breakers, switch gear, motor control centers, and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Troubleshooting, relay calibration, and use of load recording instrumentation
- Test low and medium voltage switch gear through 15 kV class
- Perform circuit‑breaker, switch gear, and motor control center testing
- Electrical testing and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems
- Test electro‑mechanical and solid‑state relays
- Conduct busduct installation, inspection, and testing
- Perform instrument transformer and power transformer tests (Doble, TTR, insulation resistance, etc.)
- Conduct cable testing – Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot
- Automatic transfer switch troubleshooting
- Preferred: NETA Certification
- Must pass pre‑employment, periodic, and random drug screenings
- Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night shifts
- Available for out‑of‑town travel (15–25 weeks per year)
- Regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift or move 100‑pound test sets
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
