A fast‑growing water and process management company is looking for an Account Manager to take ownership of customer relationships and regional growth across Central Indiana.
This is a strategic, hands‑on role for an experienced water treatment professional who thrives on technical problem‑solving and business development – with a clear path to progress into an Area Manager position as the territory expands.
As the region grows, you’ll play a key part in building and leading a local team, positioning yourself as a future regional leader within a company that values initiative, innovation, and long‑term partnership.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow a portfolio of industrial water treatment customers within Central Indiana.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through technical sales and service excellence.
- Deliver solutions that integrate chemistry, equipment, and automation to improve efficiency and sustainability for clients.
- Build strong, trust‑based relationships with customers and provide ongoing technical support.
- Develop and execute a territory growth plan aligned with company objectives.
- Collaborate with technical, operations, and leadership teams to ensure best‑in‑class service delivery.
- Maintain accurate sales activity, pricing, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and ethical standards.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in technical sales and service within industrial water treatment or specialty chemicals preferably.
- Strong understanding of cooling tower systems, steam generation, and closed‑loop water systems.
- Proven track record of business development and customer retention.
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.
- Mechanical/technical aptitude with a hands‑on, solution‑oriented approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; ability to learn internal systems quickly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in water treatment technical sales ideally.
- Demonstrated success in growing a customer base or developing a territory.
- Interest in mentoring and developing others as part of future career progression.
