Senior Electrical Estimator

• Create and revise estimates, proposals, and change orders for current and prospective projects.
• Work with business development and project management to build bids with accurate labor, time, and materials.
• Identify project cost trends to support cost reduction and process improvements.
• Coordinate project handoff between estimating and project management after an award.
• Request and review material and equipment quotes from vendors and suppliers; ensure adherence to quote requests and accuracy.
• Perform takeoffs for assigned projects and supervise takeoffs for team projects.
• Lead team bids by understanding RFP/bid documents and delegating tasks based on experience and ability.
• Lead design-build bids by identifying project unknowns and ambiguities and quantifying them.
• Train new estimators in department strategies and processes; conduct weekly outreach on pending bids.

• Minimum eight (8) years of electrical estimating experience; large commercial, industrial, or water treatment experience preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an Electrical Journeyman’s License.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proficient in reading construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and data sheets.
• Working knowledge of the National Electric Code and electrical theory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; ability to learn new software quickly.
• Experience with electrical estimating software such as Accubid.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel on a scheduled or limited basis.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; may lift up to 15 pounds.
• Work environment requires stationary duties with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and typical office accommodations.
