To support our rapidly growing electrical needs in the Data Center market, HDR seeks a talented Electrical Engineer in Training (EIT) experienced in meeting aggressive deadlines. The data‑center environment demands extremely tight design schedules with frequent changes and substantial electrical, power, and coordination requirements. This role offers valuable experience with cutting‑edge technologies across multiple trades, systems, and stakeholders. The successful candidate will help develop our electrical bench by coaching early‑career staff, enhancing their design capabilities.

• Conduct analyses to develop electrical design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications.
• Perform routine electrical engineering assignments under the guidance of the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Work on projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Assist senior engineers on larger projects or work on small projects independently.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, other Electrical EITs, or Technicians as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
• Over 2 years of experience designing electrical lighting and power systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Previous internship beneficial.
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power.
• Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration.
• Commitment to active participation in HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
