Overview

Electrical Engineer position focused on power systems analysis and engineering studies. The candidate will support a Sr. Power Systems Engineer to cover project scope and perform various electrical engineering analyses.

Responsibilities
  • Perform short circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies.
  • Assist in gathering field data and documentation as needed.
  • Support a full range of engineering studies including reliability, harmonics, load flow, and reliability-centered maintenance studies.
  • Assist with electrical power system documentation including system configuration, equipment ratings, and settings.
  • May support circuit and system measurements and help write reports related to EMF, electrical load, voltage, and power quality projects.
  • Assist in preparing estimates and take-offs for engineering study project proposals.
  • Gain working knowledge of computer software and data used in power systems and engineering studies; arrange training for others as needed.
  • Follow and assist in developing policy and procedures for conducting power system and engineering studies.
Qualifications
  • Graduate Engineer BSEE.
  • Must have taken and passed the FE exam or pass the FE exam within 12 months of hire date.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills to communicate with clients, field engineers, peers, and management.
  • Strong judgment and organizational skills; ability to manage assigned projects.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night work.
  • Regular physical ability to stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear; vision requirements as specified.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
