Locum Jobs Online is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology MD in Indiana!
We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in Indiana. This Laborist position begins on Mar 1, 2026, and features 12-hour in-house shifts with a minimum of two shifts per month. The role focuses on inpatient OB Triage and labor and delivery management, with no in-office clinic responsibilities.

12-hour in-house shifts (minimum 2 shifts/month); call shared with Laborists and generalists; hospital only (no in-office clinics)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform triage patient evaluations for admission and discharge
- Manage labor, including low and high-risk pregnancies
- Conduct vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Respond to immediate inpatient OBGYN concerns
- Evaluate OBGYN patients in the emergency department
- Inpatient evaluation and management of OB patients
- Round on antepartum OB patients
- Perform circumcisions
- Interpret fetal heart rate (FHR) tracings
- Conduct amniocentesis
- Manage routine deliveries (vaginal, low forceps) and complicated deliveries (C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs)
- Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
- Perform office/minor gynecology and surgical gynecology (open, laparoscopic, operative/major)
- Utilize laser certification as required
Additional Information
- Must hold a valid Indiana medical license
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Laser certification required
