Job Responsibilities:
* Planning, scheduling, and managerial oversight of quality-built homes from development through final construction on a timely and economical basis
* Direct and monitor the progress of multiple homes in various stages of construction concurrently
* Schedule subcontractors and manage the quality of construction, productivity and compliance with building/safety codes
* Manage trade/vendor relationships in order to build homes on schedule and close on time
* Maintain safe, clean and compliant job sites
* Coordinate delivery and use of materials throughout the construction process
* Complete homes and all customer walk-through items prior to closing
* Conduct weekly Home Buyer Meetings with customers in collaboration with the sales team
* Track and control construction costs against the budget in order to avoid cost overruns
* Implement knowledge of construction methods, regulations, contracts and blueprint reading
* Prepare daily, monthly & quarterly reports
Qualifications
* Ability to establish good working relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds, inside and outside the company
* Can build rapport and maintain Customer Delight during the buying/building process
* Motivate building partners to perform at a high level of competency
* Analyze and resolve problems that arise through the building process
* Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and persistence to get things done
* Decisive, flexible and composed under pressure, when faced with unexpected situations or delays and in a very fast-paced environment
* Acts with a high degree of integrity
* Has strong attention to detail, time management, prioritization and organizational skills to meet established goals & deadlines
Experience:
* Prior experience in the home building or related industry is preferred.
* OR an Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Supply Chain Management or related degrees
* Basic computer proficiency required to handle job costing, payroll & communication with vendors & trades
* Knowledge of Construction Practices and Terminology as well as the ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents preferred
