This position is with our National Healthcare Division and candidates must be open to 100% travel. Project assignments may vary, and eligible candidates can receive travel incentives.
Role SummaryThe Superintendent 2 helps plan, manage, and execute all aspects of assigned projects with moderate complexity. Responsibilities include managing material and equipment, assisting with people management, ensuring documentation is complete, and meeting project goals to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project.
Key Role Responsibilities – Core- Lead the company’s safety culture and create awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury‑free environment.
- Manage subcontractors and organize overall job workflow.
- Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality and EEO.
- Develop work plans for subcontractors and self‑performed work.
- Coordinate and manage the care, custody and control of the project site.
- Lead project meetings including daily stand‑up, trade meetings, and appropriate progress or OAC meetings.
- Create, manage, and adjust the project schedule with the Project Manager.

- Manage fairly complex stand‑alone projects from start to finish.
- Assume responsibility for management, scheduling, production, safety, and quality on the project or portion thereof.
- Identify, understand and actively manage project risks.
- Recommend solutions for identified problems.
- Manage deliverables from internal resources and functions such as logistics.
- Participate in project pursuits and negotiations with owners and architects.
- Perform work accurately, completely and timely.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (Intermediate).
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management and accounting software.
- Apply Lean processes, construction management fundamentals, and scheduling tools.
- Knowledge of construction processes, specific trades, labor productivity, and budgeting.
- Build relationships within and outside the team.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (Preferred).
- 5+ years construction experience.
- 3+ years field supervision experience.
- Experience with Lean principles (Preferred).
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- May require periods of travel and/or relocation.
- Exposure to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
- Willingness to work non‑traditional hours.
- Frequent activity: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing.
- Occasional activity: sitting, computer work.
