Accounting Assistant – Join a Small Team Where You Actually Matter 🎯
Do you enjoy keeping things organized and talking with customers? Do you prefer a small-company environment where everyone knows your name and your work actually makes a difference?
We’re partnering with a family-owned service company on the north side of Indianapolis that is looking for a dependable Accounting Assistant to join their tight-knit team. This is the kind of place where people stay for years, support each other, and jump in wherever needed.
If you’re someone who enjoys building relationships with customers while handling the accounting details behind the scenes, this could be a great fit.
💼 What You’ll Be DoingThis role is heavily focused on Accounts Receivable and customer communication. You’ll help keep customer accounts current while supporting day-to-day accounting operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Collections & Accounts Receivable – contacting customers, following up on payments, and maintaining strong relationships
• Invoice generation & customer account setup
• Working with customers on payment terms and account status
• Supporting bookkeeping and accounting tasks
• Answering phones and assisting the office when needed
Think of it as part accounting, part relationship management.
👥 The Team & EnvironmentThis is a small, supportive office (about 5 people) where everyone works together and helps each other out.
What that means for you:
No corporate bureaucracy
Direct access to leadership
A team that values reliability and communication
A stable company that has been serving customers for years
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Northside Indianapolis (fully in-office)
Dress Code: Business casual
Salary: $55,000 – $65,000

Flexibility for appointments or personal needs when life happens
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or collections experience
• Strong customer communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and follow up consistently
