Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist

Salary: $60,000 - 63,000

Location: Greenwood, IN| Industry: Mechanical - Commercial & Industrial | Schedule: Fully in-office

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prepare and send accurate invoices based on project contracts and billing schedules

• Monitor aging reports and follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances

• Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies

• Communicate with project managers, accounting, and clients to resolve billing issues

• Manage lien waivers, billing compliance documents, and client billing portals

• Support month-end closing activities and assist in AR reporting

• Maintain detailed and organized AR records in accounting systems

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of accounts receivable or billing experience (construction or mechanical contracting industry a big plus)

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams

• Familiarity with construction billing formats (AIA billing, progress billing) preferred

• Proficient with accounting software (Quick Books) and Microsoft Excel

• Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
