Project Accountant​/Heavy Civil Construction

Overview

Gradex, Inc., a heavy civil construction company, is hiring a Project Accountant in Carmel, Indiana.

• Match tickets to invoices and scan/save to OCR and Egnyte.
• Ensure invoices are routed to the proper reviewers for approval.
• Verify material and trucking costs against quotes or lease agreements.
• Cost code and review project invoices for accuracy.
• Obtain W9s and ACH forms for new vendors, ensuring proper setup.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed.

• Preferred 2+ years of accounting or project accounting experience (construction industry experience preferred).
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes and vendor documentation requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Clear and professional communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Demonstrates integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling financial data.

Salary of $60K – $65K
