What Warehouse Operations Contributes To Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. This includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management, and demand, supply, and manufacturing planning.

Warehouse Operations performs and controls a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. Responsibilities include receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, and ensuring efficient flow of products from vendor receipt to shipment to internal and external customers.

Job Summary

The Associate II, Warehouse Ops assists on inbound or outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor, meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. This role receives products in the inbound section and ships products in the outbound section.

Responsibilities
  • Unload trucks in the inbound section using a pallet jack or equivalent devices.
  • Use the Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products; follow regulations for refrigerated products when applicable.
  • Store products in warehouse locations using an order picker or other devices.
  • Picks products from warehouse locations and loads them into outbound trucks.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfort working at heights of 20-30 ft regularly.
