Cherry Picker Operator Job Description

Join our team as a Cherry Picker Operator where you will assist with essential warehouse duties in a dynamic environment.

• Perform warehouse picks for both batch and transfer orders.
• Enter data for all received items into the Purchase Order software systems.
• Communicate problematic deliveries to the vendor, shipper, or appropriate buyer.
• Notify appropriate personnel of all received product compliance failures.
• Conduct all cycle counts per departmental schedule.
• Monitor and remove expired items, notifying appropriate personnel for replacements and generating month-end expired item reports for warehouse items.
• Use RF guns to scan orders, determine item location, and fulfill orders.
• Drive cherry picker around the warehouse, replenishing items as needed.
• Operate various equipment such as reach and forklifts for order fulfillment.

• Experience with cherry picker or stand-up reach equipment.
• Familiarity with RF scan technology.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Possession of safety shoes.
• High School Diploma is required.

• Forklift certification is advantageous.
• Experience with pallet jacks and material handling equipment.
• Proficiency in inventory and order picking.

• 1st shift: 6am - 6pm, 2/2/3 schedule
• 1st shift: 6am - 2:30pm
• $19/hour

The work environment is a large kit building and sample processing operation, requiring candidates to travel throughout the facility, including the lab. Safety equipment such as lab coats and eye protection are necessary in certain areas. Shifts are 6AM - 6PM or 6PM - 6AM on a 2/2/3 rotating schedule, including weekends.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Indianapolis, IN.
