• Saturday – Sunday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
• Monday – Friday 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team‑oriented individuals to work in our fast‑paced warehouse. Working as a part‑time Unit Load Picker, you will help facilitate the movement of product from our distribution center to company‑owned branches. When an order is placed by a branch you will pick the requested quantity using a pallet‑level goods‑to‑person system, pack the order, print a label with a routing number, and send the product to the next department, Sortation.

This is an entry‑level position based out of our distribution center located at 5851 Guion Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46254. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

• Picking orders and packing product using a pallet‑level goods‑to‑person system
• Operating computer programs, scanners and printers to label product
• Using a scale for weighing product
• Maintaining the cleanliness/organization of the work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, completing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

• 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Highly motivated, self‑directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
• Demonstrate Fastenal’s core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25 lb–50 lb and may weigh up to 100 lb
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

• Prior experience operating a forklift
